מי אנחנוWho we are

פוקי הוא משחק קוד פתוח וחינמי לפעוטות (ברישיון MIT), שפותח על ידי תום שדה. כל הקוד גלוי ב-GitHub, כך שכל מה שכתוב כאן אפשר לבדוק. Puki is a free, open source game for toddlers (MIT license), made by Tom Sadeh. All of its code is public on GitHub, so everything on this page can be checked.

מה נשמר במכשירWhat is kept on the device

None of it is included in Android backups or in moving to a new device, and all of it is deleted when the app is uninstalled. Drawings saved to the gallery are the only exception, as described below.

When the parents turn it on, Puki writes his lines, listens and talks with small models that run inside the tablet itself, without the internet. What happens in the game, what the child said, the name and girl or boy go only to them, inside the device. The brain keeps no memory: it remembers only its last few lines while it's running, and forgets them when the game closes.

The recording goes only to Puki's brain inside the tablet, which works out what was said and answers. The recording isn't kept. The words it understood are held only in the game's memory, so they can appear beside Puki's lines in the parent settings; they're never written to a file, and they're forgotten when the game closes. In Echo Puki the voice is played back and discarded right away. Puki doesn't use Android's own speech recognition service (Google's), and nothing that was said leaves the device.

ציוריםDrawings

A drawing in progress isn't saved to a file. The save button puts the drawing in the tablet's gallery (in the Pictures/Puki folder). From there it belongs to the family like any other picture: it stays after the app is uninstalled, and is deleted from the gallery. On Android 8 and 9 the drawing is saved in Puki's own folder instead, which is deleted with the app.

חיבורים לרשתNetwork connections

• בגרסה מ-GitHub בלבד: פעם ביום, ובכל פעם שההורים פותחים את ההגדרות, המשחק בודק ב-GitHub אם יש גרסה חדשה. העדכון עצמו יורד רק כשההורים לוחצים עליו. לא נשלח שום מידע על המשתמש. בגרסה של Google Play אין בדיקה כזו.In the GitHub version only: once a day, and whenever the parents open the settings, the game checks GitHub for a new version. The update itself downloads only when the parents tap it. No information about the user is sent. The Google Play version has no such check.

It includes Puki's own models (Brains, Beak), the ears (kol-stream) and the voice (BlueTTS). Every file is checked against a fixed fingerprint.

Like any website, GitHub and Hugging Face can see the IP address of whoever downloads from them. They get no other information from us. In the parent settings you can see the latest lines Puki said since the game opened, each with what happened just before or what your child said to him. If something wasn't right, you can flag it. When the app offers to send a report to us, it opens your own email with Puki's line and what happened in the game, without what your child said and with the name replaced; you can change or cut anything, and you send it yourselves. The list itself isn't kept after the game closes. We use reports only to fix Puki.

ילדיםChildren

פוקי נבנה לפעוטות. אנחנו לא אוספים שום מידע אישי מילדים (מה שנשמר, נשמר רק במכשיר של המשפחה), אין בו פרסומות, קישורים החוצה, צ'אט עם אנשים אחרים או רכישות, וההגדרות נמצאות מאחורי שער להורים. Puki is made for toddlers. We collect no personal information from children (what is kept stays on the family's own device); it has no ads, outside links, chat with other people or purchases, and its settings sit behind a parent gate.

מחיקת מידעDeleting data

מוחקים את האפליקציה, וכל מה שנשמר בה נמחק איתה; ציורים שנשמרו לגלריה מוחקים מהגלריה. את קבצי המוח אפשר למחוק גם מההגדרות. אין אצלנו שום מידע למחוק. Uninstall the app and everything it kept goes with it; drawings saved to the gallery are deleted from the gallery. The brain's files can also be deleted from the settings. We hold no data to delete.
